The Queen Is Reportedly Heartbroken Over Prince Harry’s Daughter: Their Chance To Meet Is ‘Next To Zero’

Prince Harry, 37, and Meghan Markle, 40, welcomed their second child, daughter Lilibet Diana, last June and Queen Elizabeth II, 95, reportedly still has yet to meet her and is upset over this.

As reported by Newsweeka royal biographer named Brian Hoey recently indicated that the Queen “desperately” wants to meet her 9-month-old great-granddaughter, despite an alleged dispute around her name, which was a nickname from the royal’s childhood (‘Lilibet’ was a mispronunciation of Elizabeth).

As quoted by UK Express, fellow biographer and author Dylan Howard said Queen Elizabeth is reportedly “disheartened” as her chance to see Lilibet comes “next to zero.” The presumably slim chances of the newborn journeying to England in the near future was also something Hoey discussed, telling the publication, “I have heard from people I know within the Royal Household, she really would desperately like to see the baby in this way. ” He continued, “I think she would love to, I wonder whether it is going to happen, I would love to think it could.”

Elizabeth, who has experienced a recent COVID-19 health scare, has yet to meet The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s second child as Harry has only come back to England (since moving with his wife) once on his own in July 2021, when a statue of his mother Princess Diana was unveiled.

His child Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor’s name began to trend last year as a report by the BBC suggested that the Queen was “never asked” whether it was alright to use the nickname from her youth. A spokesperson for the Sussex family then said Harry spoke with his grandmother about the decision and would not have gone ahead had she not “been supportive.”

As Markle revealed that the Queen had always been “wonderful” to her and spoke negatively about the “institution” itself with Oprah Winfrey in that tell-all interview last spring, Hoey had thoughts on the rumored tensions between the couple and the Queen.

“It may not be as bad as we on the outside think it is anyway,” he said, “I am absolutely sure the Queen holds no feelings of disapproval towards Harry and Meghan, none whatsoever, she would certainly welcome them back if they came .” He then added, “It would be a very easy thing for the rift to be healed between them.”

Lilibet may one day meet her namesake (although many biographers and insiders seem to doubt this), and updates on the Queen’s feelings on the situation are still to come.
