Shop 7 Days Worth of Sienna Miller’s Outfits

For Sienna Miller, getting dressed is all about expediting chic. Whether it’s running out the door to drop her daughter off at school or days hunting for vintage in New York, Miller has created a uniform for herself that has to check three boxes: minimal, cool, and comfortable. (More on those later). Her style effortlessly combines pre-owned wares like the gold charm necklace she picked up at Liberty London and the wardrobe staples she can’t stop wearing, including a pair of jeans from Margeret Howell and very worn in Gucci loafers.

On vintage shopping, Miller shares a few tips and one of her favorite local shops. For vintage denim, she likes to start with the wash. “What draws me to them is the wash. It’s so hard to get that perfect blue.” Her ultimate secret, however, is looking in the men’s section. “I love men’s jeans you can slouch around in.” She also mentions she spends a lot of time searching Vestiaire Collective, a consignment platform similar to The RealReal, for Phoebe Philo-era Céline—also known as Old Céline—which is a practice many dedicated fashion folks undertake as well. You know that saying, celebrities, they’re just like us!

Monday: Running Errands

When it comes to her morning look for school drop-off runs or errands, you can mostly find Miller in activewear which she has no plans of using at the gym. It’s important, however, “to have staples pieces you love,” Miller says. Think staple jeans and a “really nice jumper” to go to for these sorts of occasions. “Being a mum has definitely changed how I dress,” Miller says, “now I just want a uniform that’s minimal, cool, and comfortable.” Well achieved!

Tuesday: Going Out

For a going-out look, Miller reaches for her favorite ’60s-era vintage frock she picked up at 9th Street Vintage in New York City. The silhouette is a nod to Edie Sedgwick-inspired style, who Sienna happened to have played earlier on in her career in the film factory girl. “The only clothes in my wardrobe that I don’t get bored of are my vintage [ones].”

Wednesday: Early Augusts

For her interpretation of early-aughts style, Miller demonstrates her way of doing denim on denim. “I love double denim and I love shades of blue,” she says. To round out the casual daytime look, she adds classic Wayfarers and vintage jewelry to her favorite pair of comfy vintage jeans and what she describes as the “perfect T-shirt.”

Thursday: Red Carpet

While stepping out in a wide range of looks on the red carpet, Miller tells vogue she prefers to channel ’90s-era Calvin Klein minimalism. “I’m drawn back to that era of understatement; there’s something timeless about it,” she says while wearing a backless Maryam Nassir Zadeh slip fresh off the Fall 2022 runways. “I feel most comfortable in that kind of thing that’s undone.

Friday: Can’t Live Without

As for go-to wardrobe staples, Miller can’t get enough of an ivory pair of jeans from Margaret Howell as well as a really good striped T-shirt. “I have not taken them off since I bought them.” She describes this ensemble as her “classic look,”— and we’d agree the pairing is a failsafe outfit combination. “This is me trying to say I’m chic but don’t notice me.”

Saturday: City Look

For Miller’s approach to city dressing, she opts for pieces that have versatility. “Slip dresses are great because they are nonchalant but sexy,” she says, noting that it’s easy to “style up something simple and classic.” To take her navy slip from Silk Laundry from day to night, she adds a long trench which suggests “easy, city, cool.”

Sunday: Casual, All Day

Everyone has a cherished sweatshirt, and for Sienna Miller, it’s this BSides style in gray. “I have so many gray marle sweatshirts,” she adds. The key to dressing casually with polish is to add “a fancy looking bag and fancy looking shoes, and it becomes something, even though it really took three seconds to put on.” A strategy she so cleverly describes as “expedite chic.”
